The New and Improved Armstrong Machining

We’re proud to tell you all about the new and improved Armstrong Machining, formerly known as Armstrong Machining Company.

Originally owned by Ray Armstrong, the shop you know and love has recently undergone strategic improvements under new owner Scott Garron. Recent Improvements at Armstrong Machining

If you’re in search of a precision machine shop that values open communication and strong customer partnerships, you’ve come to the right place. Here are some of the improvements we recently implemented at our machine shop:

  • Streamlined the quoting process. To get accurate quotes out to our customers fast, we partnered with Paperless Parts for their advanced quoting software. On the back end, we appreciate the streamlined quoting process, while our customers love the transparency and speed. We can now respond to most quotes within 4 hours of receipt!

  • Performed critical machine maintenance. We hired licensed technicians to update, clean, and service our existing machines so customers receive the highest quality parts.

  • Purchased new equipment. We bought three new HAAS vertical CNC machining centers to improve our capabilities. These machines help us increase productivity and reduce part cycle times, among other benefits.

  • Hired excellent employees. As a machine shop that values communication above all else, we brought in a handful of skilled employees who are excited to collaborate and become real team players. Some of our new hires recently completed their engineering degrees and offer a fresh, modern approach to CNC machining services.

  • Strengthened our inspection process. To ramp up our FAI process, we hired a full-time inspector who thoroughly documents dimensions and catalogues them in an organized system for easy access.

  • Cleaned the shop. Job shops can be messy places, but not ours. We make a concerted effort to keep our shop floor clean and clear of debris. Our employees have an organized space they can feel safe in, and our customers know they’re welcome to stop in anytime.

Things have changed for the better at Armstrong Machining. And no one knows that more than the loyal customers who have stuck around to watch us grow and improve. We’re grateful for them and excited for the new customer relationships that lie ahead.
